My name is Moses Gummadi. Many of you will know me from my Youtube Channel The Hebrew Bible. Welcome to my newsletter, Declaring His Great Name. If you are not already subscribed, I invite you to subscribe to my newsletter.
I am a 52 year old married man with two sons. I was born and was raised in a Christian home in a godly environment. I studied the Scriptures from childhood, and have been a lifelong student of the Bible.
I have a great passion to share what I learn from the Scriptures. Though my views have evolved significantly over the time, I remain faithful to YHVH, the LORD God of the Hebrew Bible (aka Tanakh, or Old Testament). In this newsletter, I intend to share my insights, reflections and analyses based on the Hebrew Tanakh.
You will surely enjoy some of my insights, but also might disagree with some of my remarks and analyses. But I can assure you, I will do my best to be honest and truthful to my conscience in all my writings.
Why this, why now?
I began learning Biblical Hebrew 12 years ago whilst working as a mangement consultant. As I started reading the Tanakh in the original Hebrew, I had a lot of eye opening moments. My understanding of YHVH (יהוה), the LORD God of the Tanakh has changed significantly for good.
I have written a lot for many years, but mostly in online discussions with fellow Christians. Many find my insights very interesting and useful. It’s time that I write in a more structured way and document what I have learnt over the years.
I will declare thy name unto my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee (Psalm 22:22; it’s verse 23 in the Hebrew Tanakh).
In 2018, I was given another opportunity for life, after a near death experience, following severe post-angioplasty complications. In a thanksgiving meeting after my discharge, I distinctly remember reading Psalm 22:23 (see above), and committing myself to declare His name, which is what I intend to do here.
Following this event, I tried to recover my lost career (in management consulting), but didn’t have much success. My heart was always inclined towards the Bible. Whilst picking up an occasional consulting gig, I created my Youtube Channel The Hebrew Bible, and by God’s grace grew it in the last 4 years to over 34 thousand subscribers. But much of what I would like to do remains unfulfilled.
I should have started this newsletter long ago. Still, better late than never. With the help of God (B'ezrat Hashem, as they say in Hebrew), this will become a channel to fufill my purpose of declaring the great name of YHVH (יהוה Hashem, as the Jews call Him) through all the insights and findings shared, and conclusions made.
Topics typically covered in this newsletter
My approach will be to exalt the name of YHVH (יהוה) above all else (Isaiah 12:4, Isaiah 45:21-25), subjecting everyone and everything to His words in the Tanakh. This includes the NT, in places where it differs with the Tanakh.
The following are some of the topics I intend to write on:
The name, character, words and works of the LORD
Understand and articulate the worldview of the Tanakh
The LORD’s instructions and expectations for the Gentiles
In-depth studies from the Tanakh - exegetical and devotional
Insights from Biblical Hebrew vocabulary and grammar
Critical analysis of the NT where it differs from the Tanakh

Hi Moses, after watching your teaching on 153 I’ve been trying to locate a contact email/ number to write to you personally, given I have been working on 153 for some years and intrigued to see how what you are seeing and what I have go together. I’ve been studying Torah for nearly 20 years but my Hebrews is pretty pathetic so thanks God for biblical Hebrew teachers . Kind regards Pennie Cranham
